The American federal agency has indeed "discontinued" the publication of the average world price for crude oil in US dollars. Our synthetic blend, as imperfect as it may be, is intended to reflect something of a global trend for trades in physical oil. Its initial composition is as follows: 50% Spot North Sea Dated Brent FOB, 40% Opec basket and 10% Spot Cushing Ok. WTI FOB. It is to be noted that for the time being this blend is not actually traded hereupon the prices here presented are calculated and for information only.
